The Art of Hand Engraving is the pinnacle of personalization. The mechanics can be described simply as a process in which a hardened, shaped, and sharpened piece of steel, or a “Graver”, is pushed through the metal’s surface. The actual process is anything but simple.
Our own Wendy Jobe has mastered the art! As an artist engraver she creates beautiful original designs both for our in-store collection as well as commissioned works of art for our clients. Evident in her work is a level of skill which has been influenced by her background in other arts as well as her natural creativity.
She is expert at duplicating loved ones hand-writing on metal, restoring engraving on family heirlooms, elaborate scenes engraved on guns and knives, engraved corporate logos as well as simple, personal statements of affection.
In 2019, Wendy was selected to attend the prestigious international “Grand Masters Program” at the GRS Training Center where her skill and technique were refined yet further and recognized as exceptional.
